Jonny has over 25 years of experience working with chainsaws, with a background in forestry, arboriculture and professional instruction. That experience informs every stage of the carving process, from selecting suitable timber to shaping bold forms that work beautifully outdoors. Working primarily with green wood allows for strong detail and expressive shapes, while embracing the natural movement of the timber as it dries. Small cracks may develop over time, which is a natural part of the process and adds to the individuality of the carving.
