Jonny has been working with chainsaws for over 25 years, with a background in forestry, arboriculture and professional instruction. That experience shows in every carving, from how the timber is selected to how the log is cut and shaped. Working primarily with green wood allows for bold forms and strong detail, while embracing the natural movement of the timber as it dries over time. Small cracks may appear as part of this process, adding to the individuality and charm of the finished piece.
